This issue contains a prominent front page headline, "Speech," followed by a complete printing of the 1800 State of the Union Address, signed in type by President John Adams. This was Adams' last State of the Union speech and the first State of the Union address given in Washington, DC as the new Federal Capital of the US. President Adams reports in his address of the Federal Government relocating from Philadelphia, PA to the new capital city of Washington, DC.
